Job Searching....

*Sigh*...so let me set the scene...I'm running down a long dock, it's midnight and raining and there is a massive cargo ship leaving the port...I'm running because I want to be on that ship...In order to get on that ship, I have to make a heroic, daring pretty much epic jump...so that is where I am now...I am in mid air, arms and legs flailing along, trying to make every effort to get on that ship(for those who haven't figure it out, the ship is a metaphor for a job :p ) Now if I can land on that ship, it would be relative smooth sailing for a while(tee hee), but if I don't make it on that ship, I fall into the cold water and get beat around by the waves(i.e. dead end jobs). Then it becomes a fight just to get back up on the dock...BUT...by this time...the ship is farther away and seems even more impossible to reach...so I have to make that first jump...gotta hustle if I want to make it on board :D

World Cup

So the World Cup is over...:( , but it was a good one! A first time winner is always nice to see! Spain finally lived up to expectations.

The final game was good. I would say there were too many cards, but then again the players were committing fouls worthy of cards...especially Heitinga lol! Bruce Lee would have been proud of that kick to the chest lol!

I also have to say that the game was full of nervous play from some while others were trying to do entirely too much!

One more point...the third place game between Uruguay and Germany was much better haha! High scoring and lots of offense :D

Ghana-USA

First off I would like to say...WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU START RICARDO CLARK!?!?! I SAID THAT HE WOULD COST US THE GAME AS SOON AS I SAW HIS NAME IN THE STARTING LINE-UP!!! Now that that is out of the way. Ghana finished their opportunities, simple as that. US played very well in the second half, Ghana played very well in the first. The time-wasting by Ghana annoyed me, but then again who wouldn't waste time in that kind of situation? I'm sure I would have faked an injury or two to slow things down. I also think the US should have started Feilhaber. He's a good player. Bradley did well in the midfield and has nothing to feel bad about. Same with Edu. Altidore should have stayed in the game. If Altidore did have to come out for injury or something, it would have been nice to have Brian Ching in the squad to replace Altidore. Altidore served us best when he played the holding, strong forward role...not that role that he likes to try and play when he dribbles and loses the ball. All in all, the US is definitely getting MUCH better at soccer. We are figuring out our style.

Korea-Uruguay

Ok, so Suarez is pretty unstoppable. He might as well pack his bags because some big club is about to snap him up. Uruguay did get a little help from the ref. I would have been frustrated as a Korean player with the calls. I think this game really could have gone either way.

World Cup 2010 Prediction

So I'm making a prediction: I predict that it will be a relative "nobody" that wins the World Cup this year. I think the big favorites will buy too much into their own hype and slip up. Spain and England are both heavy favorites.

However, I expect Spain's defense to fail them. The only thing that will save them at the back will be Iker Casillas. While Spain's back line is full of talented individuals, I feel like they will not play well together this year.

England will collapse under their own pressure. They will expect so much of themselves that they will fold the minute they get scored on. Once their heads are down, that's it. They've got too many hot-heads on the team.
As to who exactly will win? I can't say, but I do think it WONT be either of these two teams.

Just run

So I feel like Forest Gump these days. I've been on this running kick where whenever I feel stressed out or have a problem, I just go to the track and run around until I calm down about it or I'm too tired to think anymore. I think that we get worked up about things and start getting anxious. Its like the less power/control we have in a situation, the more we want to try and regain that power/control, but we know that in most cases, the more you try to do, the worse you make the situation. So that's why I started running. It helps me get rid of all that anxiety and anxiousness. You should try it :)

Room Service

There's probably a head or a hand under there...or maybe that huge burger I ordered:)
It would be great if my diploma and a job offer where under there.
What would you want under your room service lid?

The interview room

You would think that people would allow you some breathing room and not sit so close, oh well haha!
This is the big bad interview room :) and yeah...I was nervous!

On the road again...

I just thought this was a nice picture so I decided to post it :P
Outside the hotel lobby.
